UNDERWOOD.-- On the 25th January, at Tumby Bay Hoipltal, David Livermore, late 10th Battalion, A.I.F., dearly loved son of David E. and Elizabeth E. Underwood, of Pembleton, Blackwood. Aged 30 years. The Advertiser (Adelaide, S.A.) 26-1-1926 Mr. David Livermore Underwood, aged 30, who died on Monday at the Tumby Bay Hospital, from pneumonia, was the second son of Mr. David E. Underwood, manager in South Australia for Robert Harper & Company, Ltd. He was one of the original 10th Battalion, A.I.F., and was present at the Gallpoli landing, subsequently serving in France and Belgium for the duration of the war. He was wounded on two occasions, and the fact of his being gassed contributed to his early death. |
